company. the first wearable device and also the first product launch for tim cook without steve jobs. but there are still some who say this watch is no different from the others on the market. editor at large tim stevens says this is what apple does best, rise above the opposition. >> the user face is much more polished we see. people will be able to use this watch much more easily. >> reporter: there are three different models. the sport watch, also the cheapest, starts out at $349. then there's a stainless steel version at $595. and the most expensive the limited apple watch edition with 18 karat gold for $10,000. >> if you buy a $10,000 rolex you give it to your kids and it grows in value. a smart watch it's not going to be good for much. >> apple will be launching a new mac book.

will get but admits that 2015 will probably be a season of change. in santa clara len ramirez, kpix 5. >> the defections might not be done. there are several other 49ers who are free agents and could sign with other teams. judging by his comments, pablo sandoval definitely didn't leave his heart in san francisco. he had some harsh words for the giants. sandoval told the bleacher report he felt the team didn't make an effort to keep him and he thought the team showed no respect for his agent during contract talks last spring. at that point he said he knew he was leaving. when asked who he'll miss, pablo said only bochy. i love him. he's like my dad. he's the only guy that i'll miss. and hunter pence. just those guys. a day of cruising for crab turns in to chaos in the bay. the frantic race to save seven people on a burning boat. how two cousins stayed calm under pressure. >> we are absolutely appalled

life-threatening. seven people saved from a burning yacht all because two good samaritans rushed to their rescue on the bay. happened between the tiburon peninsula and angel island. they call that the raccoon strait. don ford with the quick thinking fisherman who wasn't afraid to help. >> reporter: just after 2 p.m. yesterday, this 45-foot motor yacht caught fire. in minutes smoke filled the boat. heidi and cathy were onboard. >> then boom, felt an explosion under my seat and then realized it was extremely serious. >> reporter: on fire between tiburon and angel island and the raccoon strait. the fire may have started in the engine compartment. there were seven people onboard. everyone started putting on lifejackets. nearby justin and jimmy nguyen were heading out to check their crab pots. >> we heard the captain screaming mayday, mayday. >> reporter: while other boat

stood by, they moved in. >> smoke was billowing out of the cabin. right away our options were really limited. it was either the passengers on that boat either going to have to be in the water or they're going to get on our boat. >> reporter: as soon as the small boat pulled up, everyone got off except the cabin. he was still onboard. >> then we heard the seventh was missing and that was the captain. >> what did you do? >> i ran through and right up and brought that wonderful captain down. >> reporter: in the end no one was missing, no one was hurt. >> we're not out there just to do our thing. we're out there to help people when we can. >> reporter: today the boat is sitting at the sausalito coast guard dock where an investigation will determine exactly what happened. thanks to some pretty quick thinking fishermen and the fast response of the coast guard what could have been a terrible tragedy ended up being an heroic rescue. in sausalito don ford, kpix 5. >> in addition to coast guard rescue crews from tiburon
